چکیده

Let Col n denote the set of all `-colored graphs on n vertices and let G be a graph drawn uniformly at random from this set. Provided that `→∞, we prove that all color classes of G deviate roughly at most √ 2 log ` from ⌊ n ` ⌋ , and there is at least one color class with such deviation. Furthermore, we prove similar results for the class Col n,M , which contains all `-colored graphs with precisely M = cn edges, for 0 < c < 12 .

Balanced Facilities on Random Graphs

Given a graph G with n vertices and k players, each of which is placing a facility on one of the vertices of G, we define the score of the ith player to be the number of vertices for which, among all players, the facility placed by the ith player is the closest. A placement is balanced if all players get roughly the same score. A graph is balanced if all placements on it are balanced. Viewing b...

Some Problems Motivated by the Notion of Threshold Graphs

We motivate and discuss four open problems in polyhedral combinatorics related to threshold graphs, degree sequences of graphs and hypergraphs, and balanced subgraphs of 2-colored graphs.

Rainbow hamilton cycles in random graphs

One of the most famous results in the theory of random graphs establishes that the threshold for Hamiltonicity in the Erdős-Rényi random graph Gn,p is around p ∼ logn+log logn n . Much research has been done to extend this to increasingly challenging random structures. In particular, a recent result by Frieze determined the asymptotic threshold for a loose Hamilton cycle in the random 3-uniform...

Upper bounds on probability thresholds for asymmetric Ramsey properties

Given two graphs G and H, we investigate for which functions p = p(n) the random graph Gn,p (the binomial random graph on n vertices with edge probability p) satisfies with probability 1 − o(1) that every red-blue-coloring of its edges contains a red copy of G or a blue copy of H. We prove a general upper bound on the threshold for this property under the assumption that the denser of the two g...
